How To Kill Bed Bugs

Rat sitting in a pair of hands in the dark.
  1. Bed Bug Treatment:
I completely understand what you are going through.  Bed Bugs are not only a nuisance, they are incredibly difficult to exterminate.  When I first moved to the Rio Grande Valley and before I got into pest control, my family moved into an apartment and we didn't know we had BED BUGS.  We soon discovered what you probably have, little red swells showing up on your skin that don't really hurt.  My wife and my baby son were waking up with them.
We asked the Pest Control Service that was contracted at our apartment to help out.  After 3 visits and no results, we had to figure out How to Kill Bed Bugs ourselves.  Here are some things we learned:

They Hide in the folds and creases of the mattress and sheets:
These Bed Bugs were great at hiding, but not great at keeping the secret of where they hide.  They make little black spots with their feces that leave a trail.  Generally, you'll see a concentration of them where they camp out.  We started lifting up the crease along the seam of the mattress and found them hiding.  Then we saw they were even in the drawers next to the bed.  Now what?  How to kill Bed Bugs?  We found two things

1. Alcohol:
No, we were not taking the Bed Bugs out for a drink at the bar, we used rubbing alcohol on them.  Put alcohol in a spray bottle and squirt where it is safe to squirt.  (Be sure not to get it in your eyes etc)  The rubbing alcohol kills these guys on contact.  They literally stand up on all their legs and freeze in place.  That won't eliminate your problem, it will only kill the ones you can see.
       2. Bed Bug Treatment:
You want to know how to kill bed bugs, we found a wonderful bed bug treatment that works.  This is one of the specialties of Pest Control in McAllen.  We have a family safe chemical that will kill these blood suckers for good.
Here's what to know before getting a bed bug treatment.
You will need to take EVERY ARTICLE of clothing that may have been within range of the Bed Bugs and wash it in hot water, then dried at the highest setting.  (Bed Bugs don't like high heat) You'll also need to do this with stuffed animals and any other piece of fabric that is washable.  All other surfaces will need to be treated with our Bed Bug killer treatment.  You will need a mattress rap made of plastic that has zero holes in it that must remain in place for at least 12 months.  These little bugs can live up to a year with no food!

Any clothes that may have been effected that won't be used should be put into plastic as well. If a mattress has been infested with a hundred Bed Bugs or more, it may need to be thrown out.  (I know, it's painful.  I threw out one mattress and a few other choice items to make sure they were dead and gone.  My wife and baby didn't wake up with the little red bites anymore though )

Killing Bed Bugs McAllen is like going to war.  We are here to win that war for you.  If you have trouble sleeping at night and can't seem to get rid of the bed bugs, don't hesitate anymore.  Call us, we know how to get rid of them.  We are the exterminator in McAllen you've been searching for.  Call us at 956-247-4050
